What Is Wealthy Affiliate?

Wealthy Affiliate (University) is an open education source. It offers training courses, live video classes, tutorials and is a hosting platform for your website.

It is also an international community of like-minded people who have one goal in common: to build a successful online business either in affiliate, content or internet marketing; or with their e-commerce business and/or wants to become knowledgeable in regards to SEO techniques and other internet related topics.

Who Founded Wealthy Affiliate?

The founders are Kyle Loudoun and Carson Lim. They are both from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Kyle and Carson founded  WA in 2005 to share their knowledge with other people on how to build a successful online business.

What Is Wealthy Affiliates Mission Statement?

Wealthy Affiliate creates equal opportunities for everyone to gain knowledge to become an online entrepreneur.

Every person who joins WA has the same access to training tools, courses, and video classes. (depending if you are a free or a Premium member)

There are no upsells!

What does it mean ‘a free member’?

A free membership gives you access to the Online Entrepreneur Certification – Getting Started. It covers ten modules. You also get two free siterubix websites.

All you need to do is creating an account with your name and a password. There are no credit card details required.

What Is The Difference Between A Free And A Premium Member?

Can I Go Back From Premium Member To A Free Member?

No, this is not possible. You can, however, cancel your membership at any time. You get 30 days to transfer your website to another hosting platform.

How Long Does It Take To Make Money?

This is not easy to answer. There are no hard and fast rules.

Some people start earning money after two months, others in a year or even longer. It depends on different factors. What niche are you in? How competitive is your chosen market? How often do you publish content? How much time do you spend working on your online business? (these are just a few factors)

If you follow the training step-by-step, implement what you have learned and being consistent then you have a good chance to succeed.

WA is not a place for people who want to get rich quick!  

It is a place for people who are willing to work hard, being resilient and want to create a long-term business.

Does Wealthy Affiliate Have An Affiliate Program?

Yes, they do and pay one of the highest commissions. Free and Premium members are able to promote WA and can earn a recurring commission. Premium members payout is 50% higher, though.
