Welcome to my Color Street review that will introduce you to this social selling company.

In this review, I will discuss the joining process, the compensation plan, and most importantly, share with you the income potential.

I am not part of the Color Street company so I am trying to be as unbiased as possible with outlining the pros and the cons of the Color Street opportunity.

Most people who are looking at this work from home opportunity, are most likely woman because after all, as a Color Street stylist, you will be selling nail polish strips to your customers. 

You may have read a few Color Street reviews before? There are a few things going on with Color Street that some reviewers may have missed and  that I feel you should be aware of before making your decision whether you should become a Color Street stylist or not.

So, without further ado, let's dive in to learn  more about this relatively new direct selling company.

As mentioned before, Color Street is a relatively young direct selling company which is based in New York.

Color Street Nails was launched in 2017, only two years ago.

However, the story of its founder and CEO Fa Park started way back in 1984.

His story as an immigrant from South Korea to the US in 1980 is quite inspiring.

After observing a woman trying to apply nail polish in a car, Fa Park had the idea to make this process easier and simpler.

After lots of learning about nail polish chemistry, he invented nail polish strips and a machine that could produce them.

So we are talking about a decade of trial and error until his perseverance started slowly to pay off.

He got the patent for the nail polish strips in 1990 but it was still a long way to go.

Make a long story short, Fa Park founded a company called Incoco in 2007 which is now the parent company of Color Street which was launched as direct selling branch in 2017.

But here is a catch which will I talk about later in more detail. Incoco is also the parent company to Coconut Nail Arts which sells nails trips at Walmart, and Incoco itself which is being sold at Ulta Beauty as nail appliques.

Color Street is now one of the fastest growing direct selling companies with 119 Million dollars in sales in 2018.

How To Join Color Street

As with most direct selling companies, it is very easy to get involved.

All you need to do is fill in a form with all your details and buy a starter kit.

There is only one starter kit available which costs $129 (valued at $250) and includes lots of products plus business material like catalogs, and opportunity brochures.

At present, Color Street has 44 000 stylists working for them.

Since it is a social selling aka party plan business your goal as a stylist is to book as many parties/nail bars as possible.

The company encourages stylists to get nails strips on ten people each week. They call this sales practice 'Color 10'.

Now, let's talk about the money.

Which brings me to the commission plan... 

The Color Street Compensation Plan

First off, Color Street features a binary compensation plan which means you have to recruit at least two people to build two legs.

This way, you can qualify from an independent stylist to a senior stylist. 

The base commission on retail sales is 25 % and increases with your monthly sales volume.

• $600 to $1199 - 3%
• $1200 to $1799 - 5%
• $1800 to $2399 - 7%
• over $2400 - 10%

In other words  you could earn a maximum of 35% in commission payments.

All other (bonus) payments like the jump start bonus, or Enroller bonuses are only being paid out when the stylist is bonus qualified (BQ).

A stylist is bonus qualified when she reaches 300 PV in a month.

Overall, the compensation plan is easy to read and not bloated like other direct selling companies.

Can You Make Money With Color Street - The Income Disclosure

Even though Color Street has only been on the market since 2017, they still published an income disclosure.

To no surprise though, the numbers are very similar to what most, if not all MLM and direct selling companies, reflect in their income disclosure statistics.

Let's break it down a little bit.

The majority of stylists, 54.32% were not been able to reach 300 PV to bonus qualify.

In essence, they made not any income at all, probably just covered business related costs.

33.42% were able to bonus qualify and earned an annual average of $1914.55. From there the numbers dwindle dramatically.

Only 6.75% qualify for Senior Stylist and around 3% make it to Team Leader.

If you want to make money with Color Street, you really need to achieve Team Leader and above.

Things To Like About Color Street

There are a few things I do like about the Color Street company.

The products are made in the US.

The prices  are affordable and Color Street offers a great variety of designs with new collections being added every month.

I was impressed by the founders story, especially by his perseverance and resilience.

Color Street also offers incentives for ladies who would like to hold a nail bar party.

The Cons Of Color Street

According to customer reviews on the Better Business Bureau, there seem to be inconsistencies in the product quality.

Color Street only got a F rating on BBB because they haven't replied to customer complaints at all.

But here is the biggest drawback  in my opinion. Remember when I told you at the beginning that Color Street operates under its parent company Incoco?

Incoco sells nailstrips via Ulta Beauty and at Walmart with a product called Coconut Nail Art.

The question here is, why should someone attend a nail party, pay for shipping costs, and wait for the order to arrive, when you can just walk into Walmart and buy the nail strips there?

To make matters worse, the prices at Walmart and Ulta Beauty are much cheaper than you pay for the same product with Color Street.

It would be very very different if the nail strips would be sold exclusively through Color Street.

Wrapping It Up 

There are so many Color Street reviews out there but I have tried to show you the most detailed informations as possible.

I do hope my  Color Street review has helped you to make a decision whether or not you should join this social selling company.

As outlined before, the variety of nail strip designs is great and the products are affordable.

However, the party plan method can be challenging, and very time consuming just to name a few things.

But the biggest catch for me is the fact that Color Street nail strips are being sold at Walmart and Ulta Beauty at a much cheaper price.

Not only are they cheaper there but also readily available for customers with no waiting time and shipping costs involved.

At the end of the day, it is your decision if you want to become a Color Street stylist or not.
