Tastefully Simple  is a multi-level marketing company that offers easy-to-prepare foods and gifts.

 It was founded by Jill Blashack Strahan in 1995. The company is headquartered in Minnesota, USA. The company and the founder have been recipients of several awards and recognitions in the past.

Jill grew up on her family’s dairy farm. She owned a gift basket business, worked in a bank, managed a tanning studio, and owned a restaurant prior to Tastefully Simple.

She also wrote a book, Simply Shine Stories That Stirred the Fire. The management team of the company has their bio on the corporate website.

The company gives back to the community by donating to charitable institutions such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, United Way, and many more.

These are the ways to earn an income with Tastefully Simple.

Personal Sales Commission

As a consultant, you can earn 10% to 40% in sales commission. As you grow your monthly sales, your commission also increases. 

Team Sales Commission

For a minimum of $1000 in team sales, you can earn 3% in your first line members' sales volume. As your team sales volume increases, your rank as a leader grows as well as your team sales commission up to your third line members’ sales volume.

Fast Start Bonus

If you sell $250 or more every week in your first 10 weeks, you can earn a $250 or more bonus. When you got promoted as a leader early, you also get to earn $100 to $4000 in bonuses.

Leader Bonuses

You can earn a bonus when you get promoted to a higher career as a leader. Also, when your direct downline gets promoted, you also get to earn a bonus. There is a shining leadership bonus as well for top leaders.

 Can You Make Money With Tastefully Simple's Business Opportunity?

Tastefully Simple has its latest income disclosure statement for its consultants’ earnings in the year 2020. The company’s income disclosure statement is available on this link here.

It shows that the annual average income for active consultants in that year was $1290.

It also says that 68% of active consultants earned $499 and below annually while only 5% of active consultants earned over $5000 annually. 

Looking at this number, it seems that most Tastefully Simple consultants were not earning significantly from the business opportunity. You can also say that more than 50% of consultants were really earning close to nothing.

I must say that Tastefully Simple’s income disclosure statement reflects the problem we see in most MLM business opportunities. Most MLM members were not really earning from the business opportunity and only the very few are earning significantly.

As an MLM member, you earn an income when you sell the company products and recruit people to join your team. It may sound easy but such tasks are challenging especially for beginners. 

Also, MLM business opportunities rewarding system tends to saturate the market that may lead you to run out of leads eventually.

With Tastefully Simple’s income disclosure statement, it looks like these things are also true with the company’s business opportunity.

Food is a necessity for everybody hence it is a no-brainer that you can sell food. However, you have tough competition out there making it quite a challenge.

The food business can be a stable one no wonder Tastefully Simple has been around for several decades already.

It supports charity works and is a member of the Direct Selling Association. It also has an A+ rating from Better Business Bureau.

It offers a business opportunity for ordinary people where people can get involved and start a business with. 

However, being an MLM company, doing business with Tastefully Simple comes with many challenges. As a consultant, you need to sell the company's products and recruit people to join the business to earn an income.

We know already the problems that come with MLM business opportunities and that income does not come easy for most members. In the case of Tastefully Simple, we see the same scenario where more than 50% of the members were actually earning close to nothing in 2020.

The top earners that consist of the upper 5% of the members were earning an average of $5000 annually, as to the percentage of members who were earning enough, we cannot tell from the company’s income disclosure statement.

As we know, if you are earning at the level of $5000 annually it is not enough to feed a household.   

So, we learned that Tastefully Simple can offer you a food business on which you can start with minimal startup capital however, just like most MLM companies, your chance of success in earning enough is slim with this business.
